Well that was the early Sixties, right? Back then they were haut style. Our early family films show young momma with those pointy frames. Gary Larson has immortalized them in his comic strip.

I got the need glasses in the 7th grade. Never wore them. Got the need laser surgery 'cause you're 50 shit. Ain't had neither and don't need either.

My sister had blue plastic glasses with sparkley stuff and pointy ends. I thought she looked so glamorous, and I was so jealous that I told everyone that I needed glasses, too. I got brown tortoiseshell ones, made me look very intellectual, especially when I wear a black turtleneck sweater.
