OFF TOPIC

Morgan,

Any suggestions for tomorrow, thread?

You've got two reasonable choices, considering the sums you're mentioning. #1: Change brokers. #2: Do a leveraged buy-out of the company.

Morgan & Options--Please God, give me a problem like this.

They just want more commissions. So, if they don't flex, your only out is to exercise the trade piecemeal in smaller parts depending on how much cash you have on hand and pay them a commission on each trade.
I'm not so sure I see any advantage to exercising the options now rather than in July, but I don't know your situation.

The more I see of these on line brokers, the better I feel about paying Schwab a few bucks extra.

Morgan, a few questions I have.......

Why do you want to exercise? Your calls are moving point for point with the stock (i.e. the delta is 1).

If your strategy will not work, why not just sell the calls? By my math (while sucking on a cider) you would net $1,192,500 (Gulp!). Then, you can buy the shares.

Also, you said there are no commissions. If I were to exercise calls, my broker would charge me full commissions on the purchase (as opposed to reduced commissions for internet trades).

Get a full service broker in a fee account, you will pay more but wont be hassled. I just closed down my Datek, couldnt take the nonsence.
