Hi Drake,
American options are not exercisable until the expiration date. If you want out of your position in Qualcomm you will have to sell the calls. If you want to keep your position in Qualcomm then just keep the calls through expiration.

Morgan,

I am not sure Skeet is right... I thought it was European options that were not exercisable until expiration... but I never excercise - just sell.

A couple of suggestions, though I do not know how helpful they will be fore you now...

- work out stuff like this in advance BEFORE trying to do anything... that way, nobody gets surprised;
- if you are not satisfied with your broker, move;
- I think I would close all my positions and go long puts for the ride down???

BWDIK?

Good luck, Morgan!

Bill
