Leader of S3 interviewed in Investors Business Daily. Asked if they might sell to Intel. Said "No discussions currently going on, but anything is possible"

Sounds like he is trying to prime pump the stock.

Also, junk specualtor Al Frank has said good things about S3 and Trident as a result of the USC, UICC, fab rollups into UMC. You heard it before: S3 carries the investment at $88 million on the balance sheet and the market value of the UMC stock at conversion is $500 million. What Al says about Trident, I am not sure I believe. He stated he talked to the company and they claim their $50 million UICC fab plant is worth $200 million in UMC stock. I do not think so because ATI and Oak recently took back cash for the orignial amount of their investment. I cannot believe they walked from a 4x investment unless they were not told of the rollup into UMC prior to the cash out and that is possible.
