I'm sure you've already seen it, but in case others haven't, the "Himalayan River Run" video by National Geographic is well worth a watch. Lots of kayak and ultralight action.

I just don't have the thrill-seeking gene. I love the outdoors, but at a sedate pace. Walking speed, biking speed, like that. Being all alone on a little bitty boat on a big river or lightly choppy ocean is plenty exciting for me.
