OK, we're getting into a situation where 80% is not being compared to minus 8% from a rational basis. The Franklin Templeton fund stinks and has been very poorly managed. The manager blames the sector, but my *taxed* account says that the manager is to blame.

End of discussion. Points very well taken, but we're into minutia that, while I deserve them, don't need to be addressed. I've been trying to help friends learn about investing in biotech and to make the point that the public's perception of the sector is colored by those who (1) have vested interests, and/or (2) are attempting to cover their butts. The point has been made.
