Hi Grace,

Good to see you posting again. I've seen parts of the mole hills back east. <:} (a very nice experience). I am just teasing anyway. It sounds great where you live.

**OT** Yes, parts of the east are great - I lived in SW Virginia for a time (less than a mile from the Blue Ridge parkway); one of the most beautiful areas in the world in my opinion. Reminded me very much of northern California of which I am a native.

I think you miss the point on the housing market out here. For the vast majority of areas in the west the housing cost is typical of any other area of the US. In a few isolated areas the housing cost are outrageously expensive. Yet every single person I know has made a considerable profit (realized or not) by owning a home - the more expensive the better. Far from making people poor the Bay Area housing market has created many millionaires. You have to think of it as an investment.

which means I can have that when ever I want it.... without having to go to work on a eight lane freeway going forty miles an hour every day.

The freeways suck - no doubt about that.
