Market magnets 6.21.99 notes Dow: Weekly hold. Nasdaq: Weekly buy (weak). Signaled new mag Friday. 2527 utrend. This will be key tline to watch in the coming week. Also noted in the market magnet spreadsheet is the gap fill value. I still feel we will see it filled in the near future. SP500: Weekly hold. Key tline is the 1324 utrend as it is the newest of the mag tlines. Nas 100: Weekly buy (weak). Key tline is the 2094 utrend, again this is the newest mag tline. According to the stock traders almanac the week following a triple witching week has a downside bias more often than not. The following is direct from the stock traders almanac 1999 "Dow points were gained in 16 of the past 18 triple-witching expiration weeks.... Following weeks were up only 7 out of 18 times. If you go back to September 1990 you'll find that only 8 expiration weeks out of 31 were down, while 22 of 31 following weeks were down."
