Very interesting front page story in today's USA Today.."Infectious diseases feed on global complacency"
Reading this story will scare the #$%@&^^^*out of you. Indicates that in the decades since the advent of antibiotics led to premature claims of victory, infectious diseases are still killing 13 MILLION people a year, half in prosperous countries. Last year, 180,000 people died of infections in the USA alone.
