Jim: Well a brief glance at my WOW chart revealed the obvious gaps, so I did not think it necessary to give the dates. By the way a gap from one day to the next can NOT fill the same day when looking just at the daily chart....<g> So suspecting we have conflicting data, I decided to look at QCharts/Qfeed data.

A quick look at the QCharts daily chart, reveals it shows no gaps during last Oct. But I do not have a lot of confidence in QFeeds exactness. If you switch to the 60-minute interval chart you will get unfilled gaps at the open on the day after...10/8, 10/9, 10/15 (very small), 10/29, 10/30, 11/3, 12/14, 12/17, 12/18...and I may have missed a few...just a quick glance. <g>

The source I use for my WOW charts, does have regular data flaws, but they are obvious flaws (spikes), usually just a transmission flaw. A pain in the a$$, but easily fixed with a individual download for the index or individual equity. If the NASDAQ revises its data, I would be missing the revisions as I down load daily storing the data.

So, I will look for a third source to try and verify. I do not put much faith in some of these furnished charts on the web. I would prefer a actual data source. What did you use to check for gaps on the COMPX daily chart? I looked on the NASDAQ web site, but could see no offer to download the indice data or chart it cleanly.

If you want, let's just agree the gaps are rare, but they do happen on the COMPX.

Regards,
LG
