Yes, it can. And I'm surprised that your local PUC lets Adelphia get away with restricting home wiring.

Hi Steve, Roadrunner is being installed for me next month. They will allow up to 3 PCs to be networked, at no extra charge, if you do your own wiring. Or you can have 3 different outlets, all for the same monthly charge of $40 per month for the first 12 months, going to $45 per month the next year. But if you get different outlets, you have to pay outlet install charges of $17.50 per if on an inside wall(where they have to do an attic drop)and pay seperate installation charges. Self install your own NICs and their returnable modems is $60 per. Self install NIC, let them configure returnable modems, is $90 per. Let them install NIC-which you keep-and let them configure returnable modems is $140 per.
You get up to 3 email addresses, and 5mb of server space.
They assign static IP, unless you are late on your bill, and have to be reassigned. Tim
