PCV: While we all know 32-bit color does cause a decrease in performance recent Rage128 and TNT-2 articles have shown the performance impact isn't as great as originally perceived. Why not allow Voodoo3 users the option of selecting 32-bit color and letting them decide for themselves if the increased image quality is worth the decrease in performance?

3dfx: If you look at numbers of cards that are overclocked and are not shipping, the 32-bit numbers look OK on a TNT-2. But at shipping clock speeds they are not as impressive and drop between 20 and 40%. These are significant performance hits.


Um .. way to dodge the question. Not.

Oh well - I'm still excited about the future for 3dfx .. though this guy sure isn't giving me any reason to be.
