Does anyone know how many subscribers AOL-UK has in Britain?

I believe the number is about 800k. AOL should soon over take FreeServe as they ease into the free AOL service.

Dixon's is reportedly going to spin off all or part of Freeserve in an IPO at some as yet unannounced (but soon) date. IMO, this is a sign that they intends to cash in while they can, because they know that the cut they get from the per minute telco charge to subsidize the "free internet service" is not likely to last much longer.
