Edwarda, share repurchase is an odd strategy for this company. While many investors look at it as a bullish signal that indicates management's confidence in the future, it indicates to me a certain desperation on the part of management. If management is repurchasing shares based on its superior knowledge of the immediate future, then it is pitting that "insider knowledge" against existing shareholders. I think that this is morally indefensible. On the other hand, a continuing share buyback program is the financial equivalent of a tax-advantaged dividend reinvestment plan. But considering the expected negative cash flow, such a policy makes little sense.
