TonyL: Regarding my post #1923, I noticed CY dropped back a bit on Friday but x-stream, thank goodness, continued to rise from their ++ US$1.06/share on Thursday to another US$0.44/share (Cdn.$0.65) on Friday. to close at US$3.94/sh.-- x-stream was up over 100% on the week. Where they have only 1.9 million shares in the float,?? they can bounce around pretty good. There must be a fortune in Internet advertising. In the UK it looks like AOL UK could be forced into offering free internet by companies like FreeServe, x-stream and Virgin Net. IF AOL goes ahead with free Internet in the UK, it could peave off millions in the USA that have to pay a fee to AOL USA. As mentioned before, FreeServe has 1.2 million subscribers, but to take advantage of their free Internet, I understand one has to buy products from the Dixon retail, their owners. x-stream has nearly 400,000 subscribers, but they are the first to offer free Internet, not only in the UK but in the world. Plus free U.K. e-mail, fax, voice mail and phone, etc. I just found out AOL has 600,000 UK subscribers. x-stream is up 500% more in the number of subscribers that they forecast last year. I'm hoping the British may patronize companies like x-stream and look upon them as the "Robin Hood" of free Internet, forcing the wealthy giants like AOL UK to fall in line. FreeServe and x-stream are looking for IPO's. Everyone has their fingers crossed they are successful and maintain a good market share of UK subscribers.!!! There is no doubt there's a fortune to be made in advertising, what else but advertising runs all those tv programs and keeps the magazine industry purring alone.!!!
