Re: Internet IPO's

Don,

Good thing FNTN's Business Model is based around Intranet, which I read will be an up and coming Hot Sector.

Don: As my stockbroker buddy says, "in the long run, good companies always do well for investors."
We've seen numerous Internet related companies surge and then fall all the way back to "Go." People either made killings or got killed.
In the end, stability and deliberate planning seem to bode well for companies who intend to stick around. In many ways, the "Gold Rush" you mentioned was a fool's Gold Rush with people buying up deeds to no more than potential. Even the current winners have been major gambles - and will continue to be just that.
The automobile, tobacco and telephony industries all started out as a monopolies - and with tremendous head starts on any future competition. That fact didn't prevent other companies from catching up and eventually exceeding the success of those first-wave pioneers.
Sometimes being second means that someone else has paved and paid the way, and those second-wavers can often avoid the mistakes of their predecessors.
Let's hope FNTN has learned some lessons during it's building period and has had the time and wisdom to attach itself to the true shooting stars of their industry.
