This is the scoop - From a very relable source.

WIT does a lottery and send affirmation notices to more people than shares it got to allocate . may be 50% more. It again does lottery to filter and throw out 50%.
So even if u got a affirm email, your chances are 2/3 to get an allocation.

I think you missed my point. I was not commenting on the FCFS aspect, I was commenting on the fact that they said "we did not ask you to reaffirm your conditional offer" after they did indeed ask me to reaffirm my conditional offer. This is not technically, or in any other way, correct.
