GIC sold 4 millionth set-top box to Comcast the other day. . .and has a approved the Microsoft operating system for use. . .remember that 500 mil MSFT brib. . uh, er. . .invested into A.T. and T. . .for 5 million more boxes released with Windows CE?

GIC is ready to manufacture. . .and since T already is a shareholder in GIC. . . .and since it is breaking out on volume, I am increasing here.

T is breaking out, too. . . as I said, I was a buyer at 55 but not 54.

Others of interest include HRBC, GNET, CNET, BRCM. . .and hoping QCOM slows down some. . .

The volume I discussed in Inets and other high-techs. . .never did slow down. . .remember I said watch the volume. . . look at a historical at volume for month then look at average volume in the best high-fliers since June 14. . . where we may very well have had our bottom. Indications are great, IMO. We will see some bad days, but I am betting with half to two-thirds positions. . .that the worst is over.

Been buying TERN all morning. . .love that float. Looking for pullback on GIC before increasing position. Not increasing Inets until they pull back more, which I expect to happen at some point over the next three days. However, I did increase ATHM position on the after split volume of those thinking they are getting a bargain.

When TERN and GIC moves get to media, it may cause a frenzy on set-top box makers. . . especially in light of the way that PC box makers and chip makers are getting battered. If so, it could lead to a short covering rally in HAUP. . . it moves very very ver quickly. . .blink your eyes and it can be up 6 points. . .and it can fall just as fast so don't get burned. . . take profits wherever you can. . . thinking "scalp" on HAUP more than position.
