You would own Loral as the more diversified entity. True a large portion of Loral is tied up in Globalstar (42% owner of G*), but all of Globalstar is tied up in Globalstar.

Goes back your risk/reward tolerance. Some of us even own both :-)

All the leverage is in G*, you are correct, but leverage goes both ways. G* can disappear and Loral will survive(wounded severely, but alive). Also, narrowband sat telephony is not the be all and end all in satellite applications. Owning Loral gives you a piece of the future broadband as well, which is likely to dwarf any telephony market. Additionally, FSS is an excellent thick-margined business for Loral. If G* takes off, Loral will too. Additional momentum can come from several fronts for Loral to add to the rise, possibly sooner than we think.
