jbe,
The carrot soup was beyond delicious. I am eating the leftover for lunch as I type- chilled. And it's just as good. Thank you!

Trying a blueberry soup tonight- one without vodka though! This one has orange juice and buttermilk in it.

I couldn't tell if Terry's deaf child piece was supposed to be funny or factual. I can't imagine a legitimate orchestra placing itself in a position like that- nor any conductor allowing it to continue-nor a teacher and family placing a daughter/student in such a potentially humiliating situation- Nor any audience walking out on a deaf person. The whole thing doesn't ring true. WHich leaves someone making it up and not being very funny.

Edison too, who tested the sound of his phonograph by biting the wooden casing and "hearing" the recordings through the mastoid bone.

The news article appeared in "The Mudpile". If Americans have become so sensitized that we cannot laugh at our failings, our mistakes, our weaknesses and our infirmaties and learn from them and grow from them, then this country is doomed.

I am so sick and tired of the insanity of PC-ism... As of this day I declare WAR on it -- from the local to federal level!!
