Hi teevee,

Valid points, but why weren't all the i's dotted and t's crossed yesterday??? The halt was requested by the company. Companies I know ask for a halt when the release is done, not while it's being prepared. Market action on Wednesday wasn't too crazy where a halt would be prudent, also.

I am in no way questioning the credibility of the WSP folks or anyone involved and I hope this is an awesome release. The whole thing just looks a little strange. I wish someone (the VSE or WSP) would release somethin' before the weekend and end this speculation.

Best of luck,
Dean

what i find so amusing about the impatience re/ this halt is that it's being done by the book. the minute the co. received the results it shut down trading, so no-one gets a leg up, this is a good thing, very heads up and in everyone's interest, expecially for us outsiders. it brings to mind what my mother (repeatedly) reinforced on christmas eve, don't get up till santa has come and gone, otherwise you'll ruin the surprise.
whats more,i might add, this way, no-one else gets to open theirs before you.

Hello teevee,

I sure hope you're right about the halt, but it begs a question. Surely WSP and the VSE have known for quite a while that very significant news would be released around this date.

Why wouldn't they have prepared everything in advance, leaving only the figures as to grade and possibly valuation to be filled in as it became known?

Its not like they don't have a large staff to handle this sort of thing. And they seem to know their lawyers very well. It was the company, not the VSE, that requested the halt.

Maybe this delay is different.
Maybe WSP will set the diamond mining industry on its ear.
Maybe WSP is planning an huge celebration.

Best of Luck,

Confluence

A little bird just whispered 1:30 may be the time your wait ends. Now I don't know what time zone was involved, but I expect Vancouver time.

I expect the Toronto brokers are going to be steaming to have to stay in their offices on a Friday afternoon but I doubt many will be leaving, without their laptop, at least.

So let's get off our collective butts and do something like cleaning up your desk, going for a run, weeding the garden, buying some bubbly, or do some damage somehow until then.
