Richard,

I'm consulting on a Coppermine-based project right now. My client was planning to ship their product in October, now they're planning to ship it in November.

Camino was originally planned for Katmai prior to its being delayed till September. The 133mhz front side bus is supported by the Katmai .25 Pentium III. Based on what Intel has said so far, it looks like we will see 600mhz Katmai with Camino in September.

I believe what Intel is up to is not a new development on the manufacturing front, but rather a realignment of their roadmap as a competitive reaction to K7. What they previously felt was good enough just isn't after performance figures were released by AMD last Thursday.

Over the next 2 years, it will be great for rambus if there is a performance battle going on between Intel and AMD.
