thanks for response.

The article referenced that eEye did alert MSFT of the problem around Jun 8 and were exchanging email. It was supposedly when MSFT stop responding that eEye decided to go public.

This is exactly the reason I posted it here because I am not in the tech business and have no way of knowing whether this is serious or is it a publicity stunt. If it is serious, it just seems to be that a race may be going on right now, between the hackers and system administrators to patch the holes.
