I see, I forgot to return to the essays, and I apologize. The characterization of the attempt to harmonize industrial interests through a kind of paternalism is reasonably called "corporatism", I suppose, although the first essay is correct that it is giving way to the resurgence of neo- classical economics. It has long been known that parties both Left and Right in Europe have tended to be statist, although in somewhat different ways, which is why there has not been a terrific see- saw in economic policy in Europe. As to the article, at worst, it demonstrates a determination to employ natives first, to the detriment of immigrants. Since most of the immigrants are European, it can hardly be characterized as racist...
