Re-read Steeny's post #23042 where details of Cohen's recommendations are listed. Again, Jonathon Cohen had an intermediate-term buy as well as a long-term buy on AOL the entire time he was at Merrill. He was a respected analyst during his relatively short time at Merrill who did an excellent job of wisely recommending to clients to buy AOL from early 1998. He did not "ultimately upgrade to buy". He came out right away with the strongest recommendation you can put on a stock under the Merrill Lynch investment rating system.
