IMHO, the way Softbank binds its investments together to create synergies is the competive edge Messagemedia has over Critical Path.

Things are not that clear cut but give it time. Besides once things becomes crystal clear, it will be time to get out.

Speculating on MESG recent gains.

Russell 3000 - Here is a list of companies that will be added to the Russell 3000 index as of June 18, 1999. Messagemedia is on that list. This list will be revised June 25 with the official index membership being announced July 8 after 6:00 p.m. PDT. My guess, MESG will be placed on the Russell 2000. This will induce more funds to invest in MESG.
