You wanted it before but, IMHO, I believe the battle is JUST NOW beginning. Cable has to pressure the RBOC's who look at DSL as a potential loss of business and threat to their present pricing structure.

DSL vs. CABLE. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!!

Well Marc,
I agree that the RBOCs have been short sighted, but sometimes someone has to wave a red cape in front of them. AT&T has done just that. The ADSL market is ready for implementation. The RBOCs could have had a lead, instead they will have to come from behind. What you will probably see is an explosion in ADSL starting this fall. If not, the RBOCs might as well melt down the copper and sell it to the government for pennies. As for me, I guess I'm into ADSL till the end. Mine may come first.

All the best,
Michael

<RBOC's had broadband in their pockets "IF" they would have been as bold as cable to invest in the infrustructure like cable did.>

Hi Marc & all,

Ya know Marc Ive go so much to say but I have no choice here. Not my choice! Still waiting for any utility to dig here & I must say, "Call Before You Dig". I still do agree w/ the previous two post's in that the trench's are

P.S. use the lata data bill as an example. Ive got the utmost respect for the longs here & wish them the best. It will be wireless in another twenty years.
