I hope the 6 hr battery functions similiarly to the extended battery in respect to charging the internal battery. I was wishfully thinking maybe the internal battery could be charged simply by slapping one of the optional batteries on the back but I thought I was just dreaming. This is almost too good to be true! Do any of the Nokia's have this capability? Can you charge the internal battery multiple times with the external ones? Who needs fuel cells anyway?

I think I know where Maurice is. He's on his annual religious pilgrimage to San Diego to pick up a sacred Thinphone. Maybe he will even get to use it in CDMA mode down under?

Airtouch in Seattle now offers toll-free long-distance within WA, OR, ID and ?, 400 minutes anytime, analog fall-back, voice-mail, call ID, call waiting, etc. for $39/mo. I'm almost ready to give up another land-line.

I call my parents on the 820 and they never cease to be amazed when they find out it's a cell phone. Of course their memory ain't what it used to be.

Engineer, I hear the internal battery on the Thinphone can not be charged by an extended battery. Will you double check your statements and get back to us? Thanks.
