El, I thought I read some posts earlier that you said you had sold already?

U.S. earnings outlook rosy, with a few exceptions

But despite the bullish earnings outlook, some companies have been alerting Wall Street that analysts' forecasts are too high. Two prominent examples in recent days have been Compaq Computer Corp. CPQ and Gillette Co. G .

Compaq, the world's biggest maker of personal computers, said it expects a loss of $0.15 per share for the second quarter. El, you sound a little despondent talking about CPQ! What keeps you holding on? You have to get it through your skull that money can be made elsewhere without this much pain. Do you own anything else that relieves your pain? Have a nice weekend, and maybe next week you could pick up CPQ at 18? LOL

EL--- Looks to me like we have bottomed at 20. Could be wrong but no longer care. Will just look for exit points the next 4 years to take a smaller loss. My avg may never be seen in that time frame. You said it,,, they have no good news but I believe Rosen was giving a lower figure than expected,, but close,, maybe 13. New CEO will make a diff of a point after the initial pop and the sellers run,,, not high enough for me unless it happens in Nov/Dec. 3rd qtr we were told will be a disaster and I expect the 4th to be a loser too. It looks like a huge buy here but so far I am sticking to my "never another share" of this company. The block of 331K at the end of the day--- I wonder which institution bailed at this price! They are trying to lock in Bonunes at the funds and most mgrs would not want their shareholders knowing they held the pig.
