Personally, I think that morality is independent of faith. However, it is reinforced by the belief that the Ultimate Power cares about moral behavior... So, morality exists apart from faith but if you don't do as the Bible says, the Big Dude in the sky will come down on you with the Big Stick and you'll spit roast in Hades for all eternity?? <VBG> Willingness to use ones critical faculties, determining the factors required for living in a civilized society, and listening to ones conscience are the prerequisites to formulating a reason based moral code.
