Gary, I know the people who were doing much of the buying today. I don't think anyone is expecting any big developments in the very near term. However, there are positive things happening. People feel like the stock is extremely cheap at around a dime, but at the same time it's hard to buy much stock at that level. The stock was at .07/.09 this morning when the first order went in. 10,000 shares (only $900 worth) were bought at .09, another 20,000 at .10, and then the MM's took the ask up to .12. People are trying to get in to the extent they can when cheap stock is available. As I mentioned, there are positive things happening with the company, most of which have been covered on this board. The new scanner, paid for by Alliant, will be up and running before too much longer. As we all know, SMS has cash flow problems, so the income from the new scanner, which will come at very little additional cost, will be a big plus for the company. People feel like prospects are good for scanner sales. Toyota has purchased 2 machines and is expected to buy more. They are the leading edge company among automotive manufacturers. Wherever they have gone in the past, the rest of the industry has eventually followed. There was also the statement in the 5/17 press release which you alluded to in your post concerning prospects for scanner sales. The company is continuing to advance the technology. Recently they have been working with new software from a third party vendor which will improve scanning resolution. So in summary, although there is nothing imminent that I know of, I think people feel that at some point later this year there will be positive developments regarding the company's cash flow and scanner sales. People that I've talked to feel that as the technology comes into wider usage and SMS begins to sell multiple scanners with the same design and configuration, that the stock could get back up towards a buck pretty easily, and so they're trying to pick up shares when they can get them.
