Source Media and Actv are I'm quite sure competing on some aspects of the interactive program guide.
I thought the deal would be announced at the Show because TV GUIDE had previously stated they were close to closing the previously announced but never finalized deal.

Another word from the Cable 99 front... I have heard directly from a high-ranking TV Guide manager that he "is not sure" of whether the deal with SRCM will close. As you might guess, the due diligence process seems to have lead to a curiouser and curiouser situation!

Charles,

Just for the record, I'm on Art's side too... I think my posts bear that out.

Maybe this is just a question of style.

When it comes to business, and this is business, I prefer the "suck it up and get on with the job" style.

I never said he wasn't entitled to the expression of his feelings...it's what he has done with them that concerns me.

I'd just prefer that he expressed he feelings in PMs or emails.

If he said that he felt bad, unhappy or upset and left it at that, that kind of expression would be fine.

But saying that he doesn't trust management or the company anymore is considerably more than a bit beyond feelings. It's the expression of opinion... the opinion of a leader on the thread. And that's important IMO.

Charles, if you want this thread to be a stage for the expression of feelings, OK, I respect that, but it doesn't interest me. That's not why I'm on SI.

And think about what those expressions of feelings do to perceptions of who shareholders are when the company reads that kind of stuff, because I assure you, when it comes to business, they are in all likelihood the "suck it up and get on with the job" types.

Regards,

Ed
