Ibexx, all. Along the lines of Goodboy's posts attempting to time initiating G* position (or adding to it for most of us), the major concern I have is not a launch failure or political scandal. Hell, we've been there and done that. And I'm bullish enough to think that with the Iridium marketing fiasco staring them in the face, our boys will be out hustling handsets like hell won't have it so I'm not even too worried about hitting the biz plan.
What has me a little itchy is potential dilution as G* moves to fill its capital gap. I* has really put a hurt on the whole industry and I think it simply has to have a real impact on our capital costs. Thus the next deal I'm waiting to see is Bernie pulling a super slick financing bunny out of the hat. I'd rather see him swoop down on some ailing competitor, but frankly think he's got his hands full out scrounging for dough. Bernie can do it if anyone can, but I'd rest a whole lot easier when the cash is in the can.
Y'all have any thoughts? best, Mike Doyle
P.S. Ibexx, your curse has jinxed me indeed: preliminary phone bill indications from New York to S.F. are "awesome" to quote my daughter (not to mention Sprint). :-)
