Qualcomm's Digital Cinema - it's magnificent !!!

I just got back from a 220 mile round trip to the Route 4 Tenplex in Paramus, NJ to see the first public showing of "Stars Wars -Episode 1 -The Phantom Menace", using CineComm's new digital cinema process. Cinecomm is a joint venture of QCOM and Hughes-JVC. I kid you not, it was MUCH BETTER THAN FILM. The picture was absolutely flawless, start to finish. This was the highest quality image I have ever seen projected on a screen, and that includes 70mm, and 15/70 Imax. The screen was full size, not the smaller screen often used in multiplexes. The Texas Instruments process is being run in another theater nearby, but I shall have to leave that for another day.
There is no doubt in my mind that this is the future of motion picture exhibition. It's here now, and it works.
