The DOJ cloud appears to be lifting and all lights are green for a price explosion

The cloud is not as dark as it used to be. MSFT has made political inroads. Bill Gates is making a lot of friends. He also has "friends" in the appeals court.

In addition, they are working on the public, commissioning polls to find out how the public feels about the company.
It seems they want to know if they were to lose the case, what kinds of juries are they likely to face in the event of private lawsuits against the company. I know juries are supposed to be impartial but with a lot of Americans holding index funds and seeing MSFT being the number 1 holding, can result in subtle influences in decisions. This will be especially true in borderline cases (the vast majority would be like this anyways) Certainly big tobacco had a harder time finding friends. MSFT would have more success.
MSFT's support will be evident once we see a pro-MSFT verdict in the Bristol case----IMHO it will happen. It will also be a deterent for others to bring MSFT to trial.

I can imagine the Democrats along with the president's office are not too happy about the success of this case----it may appear to be too successful for their liking. Too much money is being lost to the Republicans. This will carry over to state levels as well. Given how effective the gun lobby along with tobacco are, MSFT should have no trouble making friends in high places.
STill the biggest point in favor of the company is the positive public perception. That will scare a lot of politicians at all levels.

After that, the sky is the limit.
Is it any wonder the stock is rebounding amidst this court room mess.
