On the flip side, the excellent technicals in the weeks prior to the Ericsson deal kept me from giving up on QCOM at the critical moment. Agree with your general point, though.

And don't forget the fundamental analysts' up and downgrades - not to be left out of your theory.

I think the truth is this - people are like moths to a flame. They like to buy when it's going up because it feels good and right and they puke at the bottom 'cause they can't take it any more. In both cases they are wrong and therefore, should devote a little time to the analysis of supply and demand, and implement proper risk and money management techniques along the way.
