>>do you have any hope for Corel or are you an exhausted long ready to throw in the towel?<<
I do have hope for Corel. I have used Corel's products every day for many years. I only wish that I could believe that the company were being run as well as the software runs. I admit to having been exhausted by the Cowpland personal canoe.com and corporate style but I'm not ready yet to throw in the towel.
I believe MC is motivated to some extent to exonerate himself ( the big $20.5 million stock sale of ‘97) by getting the share price back over $8.20 (Canadian.)
Tuesday 21 October 1997
The Citizen reported that Mr. Cowpland was in possession of data reporting Corel had suffered significant market share losses for its software products in 1997 when he sold 2,432,100 shares between Aug. 11 and Aug. 14 for between $8.20 and $8.80 each on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

>>what ever became of that Vanni Resta lady?<<
I don't know. I think that Vanni Resta was more than one person posting to the same SI account though. A lot of people have come and gone here during my stay...Skye, A. Hayer, CR Lum, Alomex, bcoch, revbill all informed and fun to read.
Stick around Max90...the fun never ends here!
