Gee....A second thing you don't know anything about....

If one had enough money, they could open an account with a Market maker, and have them sell short.

Or...If they traded enough they could open an account with a soes trader like....(OR ECN)

There are a multitude of ECN and SOES trading services that you can short or go long, at will, with....Even in the good ole U.S.A.

However....with ECN firms, you are looking at $300 monthly fees and up. Trades that cost $20-30. Plus you have to pay stock exchange fees.plusplus plus.

Someone making 200 trades per month on say Cybertrader can expect to pay $2000 a month in fees.

So if you are going to open a daytrading account, you'd better know your stuff.
