1. For as long as the rulings hold, they are the law of the land, not the Voice of God...

3. The use of a document with pre- existing cultural resonance to re- enforce conscientiousness...
4. Until recently, school districts were free to post the Ten Commandments. Barring them from doing so was the innovation, relative to historic practice. On the other, I do not care if "wisdom texts" promoting good behavior are culled from a variety of sources. If that were the necessary compromise, I would be happy to do so. I do think that if the point is to reflect something out of the culture that the students belongs to, there is no need...
5. If there is no representative of a given religion in a particular school, I cannot see the applicability of this point...
