Ron, to me here is what you are doing. you say 1 + 1 = 2 which we all accept (and no games like asking which base used) ok, so we both can put down stuff to agree upon but you then say I am wrong and you are right but here is where you leave the discussion and go into Ron Land why ? because there you have created as correct your stuff there, not here (example, and on topic) <<"harsh discipline" of gold prevents ... as we have the potential to do>> yes yes yes but no I did not do a 2 step once again, to prevent dumb and misguided and bad people from screwing up as it pertains to people living and working together so all have it better needed is a way to prevent screw-ups and until you tell of a better way than the gold standard its all we got and in todays world with high technology its needed most that old rusty corroded gold standard has outlived it life and especially now that man knows better who to put money wrench in it that its replacement is needed but the very reason why its needed is the force to kill gold and replace it with something that does not control . <<Everything about money is psychological>> Is a very dangerous thought. imagine earth has only about 25 people those of us on this thread no money or precious metals just raw materials and our abilities for fodd and shelter and so we stabilize to exist ok and now we want to increase what we have as in transportation, etc so we product products and services ok no money yet barter has to happen but money needed none exist yet how to do it a bank = ? start from the beginning and then add in down the line one of us is a criminal and lier and bad person ok, law and court made but what about dishonest and misguided actions for money system need a way to disclose it or prevent it = ? = for money = ? doug
