That does seem to be the "bulk" of the problem in understanding the grade... Stop me if I'm going wrong here... The general value of the 200 ton sample (minus the 3 biggies ) was 88US/tonne. We've got 5 times as much rock here that proved up at 98US/tonne but no biggies I can hear them screaming Salted SALTED!! already :-}

Let say it was salted for the sake of arguement....

Let's pretend the mine costs us 35mil to build
At 181US or $250 Canadian minus $80 to produce. WE would get $170 profit per tonne

We mine 3000 per day X $170/tonne profit = $500,000/day
At 300 day/year X $500,000 = 150mil profit/year

At 50 million shares outstanding = $3/share profit

How much does Barrick make per year ?? I have heard the mine would cost 35mil to build or less than 1 years profit..

Somebody redo the math... This can't be right because everyone is so depressed about the news here ??? I must be missing some major expense.

PS: THIS IS WITH NO "BIGGIES" AT ALL

Huh? If I do what? I am looking at the Canaccord report right now & it states that 226.72 carats recovered from the 105.7 ton pit 1 sample & the 94.0 ton pit 2 sample had an average value of US$302.43/carat. A second study prepared in Oct of 98 by MRDI Canada stated approximately the same thing. Neither of which had anything real to do with the large diamonds found other than they were part of the overall sample.
However having said all of that I must say you have missed my point of selling completely. The market is 99% perception & if people think the news is bad that is the ONLY thing that matters & as I said I'm in this game to make money not lose it.
Anybody out there willing to pay me the listed $4.05/share right now call me up & you can have them for that price. This stock is going to tank Monday morning!!!

Rick

To Rocket Red & All.

I have an institutional research report here put out by Canaccord dated March 8, 1999, that lists most of the players in the NWT, their stats, possibilities etc. It is in PDF form so if anyone wants it I would be glad to supply it to them, just send me a private message with your email & I will gladly pass it on.
