You must take into consideration who brought these IPO's to market. Take CAIS for example. IPO'd at 19 was around 12-13 when quite period ended and then came buy ratings from bear stearns and freidman FBG. Ok, so the people who brought them to you for $19 are now showing some support. Big deal. Their rep is already tainted for pricing the stock so high in the first place. Hence the stock goes nowhere.

Look for reputable ratings from folks who have a solid track record of success.

What is one of the most important factor in choosing a IPO to ride with? Answer - Underwriter

Most of the IPO's on your list did get buy ratings from those who brought them to us as expected. Perhaps we should focus DD on IPO's coming out of quite period with solid underwriters who are able to provide serious support. Serious underwriters wont do obligitory buys, rather they only issue buys to the ones they know will be supported so their name stays reputable. The smaller underwriters do what they have to do.
