<extension of their strategic alliance with a multi-year agreement to develop the world's most> It is an EXTENSION of the earlier alliance. It is not a new relationship. This is a pure PR by Chambers to boost the stock price. There is no dollar amount. It is like announcing continuation of a relationship, as it was not really materializing. ASND won a major core ATM/FR network equipment contract with QWEST because they have real products that perform unlike CSCOCONFUSION despite their(CSCO's) past so called STRATEGIC relationship stunt. ASND also stole GTE contract despite another big BS STRATEGIC relationship deal with GTE. ASCEND is delivering real world products while CSCO is delivering press relationships. The fact is that CISCO simply can not and would not be able to deliver what a 7/24 TELCO NETWORK scalable and reliable solutions. WHen market realizes rest will be history.... READ carefully, they agreed to develop products not DEPLOY. That means they have nothing of any quality currently that addresses the needs of QWEST. BR
