These reporters need to better understand how inflation is calculated. It is an average. (Do they know what average is? I am not sure!) Hence, an average inflation of 2.1% doesn't mean that every single consumer good will rise by exactly 2.1%. I don't see these reporters complaining when PC prices drop 50%, right? By their logic, box manufacturers should have started to grumble that in the face of 2.1% inflation they have 0 pricing power. One thing's true though. If these folks can get a job as a reporter, the labor market must be tight!
