In a private briefing with Wall Street analysts this week, Hindery said
that he is working on deals that would mark ''the end of an industry
as I know it. I'm about six weeks away from doing what I want to
do.''

That's a very short time (six weeks) maybe they have got there act together. And to think a week ago, half of us thought that we had bought the wrong stock. Now the shorts think the same!

Is this another step in the reconstruction of the disaster of the past? It is the function of the FCC to promote competition. In their zeal to accomplish this end, they would be enabling the slow integration of community cable franchise under the whip of one entity, if they let these exchanges erase all boundaries defining competition.
