Intel had a very similar commercial about 1 1/2 years ago - using Jason Alexander (of Seinfeld fame) sitting in front of his computer, Video Camera on (he was having a computer conversation with a woman), with a cardboard mockup of the New York City Skyline behind him - which his dog then dragged out of the way revealing his dumpy apartment.
