scott...thanks for letting me know about distractions in investment.

i had an investment life before dell, i wasn't initiated into investing by employer contributions to pension plans and mutual funds. i am a business man, and look at any position i take as a business investment...as i stated to darrell, sometimes you must look through the present into the future on what viable components a misdirected company has, these don't go away...i mentioned chrysler..bankrupt, management did something never before in the history of america, had the government bail them out...without strong management chrysler is gone..my premise with compaq is a strong ceo, the proper individual and compaq on course again....and not as a pc maker...look at the turnaround in unisys...now more a service entity...cpq has many more facets than dell which are active and profitable...i'll tell you the same as i told darrell...why believe analyst now, when they blew the last two quarters, analysts are not businessmen...they live in worlds of unreality....so tell me about dell "storage" play...how much of the market do they have...how long will it take them to surpass emc and ibm....while you're at it how large is dell's service force..bigger than ibm or cpq?...not to detract a thing from dell, but i stand on my comment, cpq has more capabilities than dell...nothing to do with current profitability...
