Well actually on a value basis Namibia exceeds some of the richest deposits known to date, most of the diamonds are effluvial deposits, via the Orange River, wave action deposiion, ocean currents depositing the stones from the eroded kimberlite primary sources. The recent interest and increase in share prices is probably due to
1. Increase in diamond prices
2. Increase in actual production and increase in future production 3. Reviewed in the Crown Jewel Report on Jan 10, 1999
Any and or all of the above.
