Pretty funny, Frank. I agree. LOL for a long while now over Tech's constant successful options plays and his constant renouncing of them.

Uncle Frank, I resisted options for a long time but it got very tempting this month. I had still become conservative in holding only in the money calls (except the odd day or 2 day trade). I don't have any out of the money calls except leaps2002 on MSFT. I have come a long way and still have a way to go. Last year i would have gone as far out of the money as i could.

This month has been too tempting; i plan to make some more cash on call option in MSFT and buy shares in a few weeks. If i had been my old self in thes last 2 weeks, i would have been on cloud nine or cloud 10.

After these couple of weeks, i am going to take a vacation (from options) until very late this year when i plan to load up a bit thanks to the Y2K panic. I still won't bet the farm. Those days are over. That is going to be one hell of an opportunity--that i won't be able to pass up. That still gives me a few months to relax!

In a month or so, i might be ready to build a G and K portfolio.

The reason for your success is that you did it without options trading <g>.

Frank, If i was to tell anyone how much i made in options in just
over 1 year, they would not believe me anyways. My broker said I should write a book. I don't mean to brag (sorry).
Of course, the problem i faced several times was that i could have been penniless if the market had a prolonged downturn. Whew!!!
I have never gone through so much stress in my life.

The way LindyBill made so much in only about 7 years, buying stocks and no margin is just unbelievable to me.

On the other hand, I just rolled the dice lots of times. I am tired of going to the casino and therefore I do not take risks like i used to before. I have just started taking golfing lessons to occupy some of time during the day. Going to cancel the cable channels with CNBC soon---right after the July earnings releases (maybe).
Once i have a G and K portfolio with some balance, i plan to give up trading. Going to become a golf "addict"---at least you get more exercise that way. I have realized that there is no end to greed. More money is not going to change my lifestyle--so why not enjoy life a little bit.

I am going to start following this thread once my Microsoft stock and options trading has run its course..
