...."Micron could overtake Korea's Samsung Co. to become the world's No. 1 memory chip producer" ....

Not with yields like Samsung is having, in addition adding 2 billion dollars of new equipment. Did the name Kipp appear at all?

Tad and Tom, here is a question concerning the market share questions that you guys discuss here from time to time. In computing the market share for Micron, there would seem to be two alternative numbers that you could use. First you could use the numbers of the chips actually produced by Micron. Alternatively you could also include the chips produced by the former TI joint ventures. Since the joint ventures are sizeable producers in their own right, could this be the source of the discrepancies?

Thank,

Carl

tad, how about two or three re-its on your sell mu now theme... add in that mu management doesn't even know what dram spot prices are! don't believe me? listen to their conference call! ho ho ho ho! ;-)

now we have a 7.5% discount to the "low end" uk. that's funny. the uk is low end in mu's book. ho ho ho ho! ;-)
